German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport chooses Scholz & Friends again as lead agency

Scholz & Friends defends the mandate as framework contract agency at the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport and continues the successful cooperation in the coming years.

With its areas of responsibility "Digital" and "Transport", the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport is THE ministry for the future infrastructure of Germany and leads the way in essential transformation processes: in the digitalization of the state, economy and society and in innovative, climate-neutral mobility that is affordable for all. After successfully defending its mandate, Scholz & Friends will continue to support it in these comprehensive tasks and contribute to their success with the respective accompanying communication. The framework agreement has a term of two years and can subsequently be extended twice, each time for a further year.

Subordinate authorities of the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport, such as the German Weather Service, the Federal Roads Office or the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, can also draw directly on the agency's competencies when the budget is awarded. The diverse topics, stakeholders and target groups of the ministry's group of authorities make the mandate a varied task that calls on all the service and competence areas of the Scholz & Friends Family.

Lars-Christian Cords, Partner Scholz & Friends: "Defending our mandate goes hand in hand with our performance promise as an agency to take society along with us on the major transformation topics of digitization and in the direction of innovative, climate-neutral mobility. In doing so, we will rely primarily on digital channels and social media, but also on direct citizen dialogs and participation formats. As a team, we are very much looking forward to continuing our trusting and appreciative collaboration and to continuing to benefit from the minsitry's courage to also break new ground in communication."

Bettina Lauer, Head of Press & Communications Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport: "Scholz & Friends is a strong partner when it comes to providing optimum communications support for the reform projects we have initiated and those that are planned for the future. This was once again clearly demonstrated in the current award process, in which the agency convinced us with a clear concept, strong creation and the best possible team set-up for successful implementation. We expect strong creative impulses from the team at Scholz & Friends in the future as well."

Scholz & Friends already worked for the ministry from 2007 to 2011 and was able to win back the mandate in 2016. The jointly implemented projects and campaigns are regularly honored at almost all renowned creative competitions from the Effie, to the Politikaward, to the PR Report Awards. Highlights of the current work are the dialog initiative deutschland-spricht-über-5G.de, the recently presented new freeway posters of the campaign "Runter vom Gas" or the accompanying communication for digitalstrategie-deutschland.de and deutschlandtakt.de
