Looking for Schnitzel.

As of 2023, Uber Eats has not yet reached every corner of Germany and not everybody is already aware of all the great food options available at the tap of a finger. But the world’s No. 1 in food delivery (available in Germany since 2022), is continuously expanding. In 2024, the goal is to win over the entire country for Uber Eats in the first nationwide campaign (including TV).

The Idea

Germany’s greatest hero is back. David Hasselhoff. In 1989, he ended the Cold War, brought down the Berlin Wall, and united the country with his anthem “Looking for Freedom.” 35 years later, he’s on a mission to bring Uber Eats to all of Germany and fight the culinary injustice in our country.

Together with Germany’s No. 1 hip-hop artist Nura, they unite our nation once again with a fresh take on David’s legendary 1989 song. “Looking for Freedom” becomes “Looking for Schnitzel.”

A campaign that resonates across all age groups, especially thanks to a 48-hour extended version, where David sings non-stop about all the food options on Uber Eats. True to the Uber Eats brand claim: “Get almost anything.”
