Tiroler Festspiele Erl

Brand design for a 400-year tradition

The Tiroler Festspiele Erl are a key part of Austria’s cultural landscape. Since 2024, opera star Jonas Kaufmann has led the festival. Erl’s 400-year Passion Play tradition is reflected in the thorn crown on its coat of arms and the architecture of the festival house. This inspired the design element: thorns, arranged to reflect the crossbars of the letters TFE — Tiroler Festspiele Erl.
